Even though emotions are the essence of human life there is a lack of awareness and training in acknowledging and processing them.
We created this course because we realized there is really no education about emotions. At home, school, and professional and spiritual training, emotions are often judged, ignored, or bypassed creating an underlying sense of unease.
Having studied, navigated, and refined our understanding and experience of emotions, we are here to frame emotions in a way that enables you to experience them as dynamic experiences that can shift by simple and profound tools of awareness backed by both science and spirituality.

This is a general overview of the course. The course will adapt and flow based on the group's needs and questions.
Week 1
Neuroscientific foundations of emotions (brain, body, neurochemistry, genetics)
Emotions as energy and the symbiotic relationship between body, sensation, thoughts, and beliefs.
Practical Application: Energy Mapping and biofeedback for a radical shift in feeling and perceiving.
Week 2
Neuroscientific understanding of trauma, resilience, and post-traumatic growth.
Emotions as messengers; emotional cues as a portal for spiritual evolution.
Practical Application: Co-meditation as a valuable skill for transforming emotions.
Week 3
Neuroscience of connection, empathy and the fundamentals of consciousness.
The power beyond our stories or personhood and how to expand awareness.
Practical Application: The ease of being as the witnessing Self.
Abha is a neuroscientist at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Abha obtained her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she studied the role of the brain region called the amygdala in stress-related sensorimotor gating relevant to schizophrenia. Abha did her postdoctoral work at the University of California-Los Angeles, where she studied fear and stress regulation via a specific neuropeptide system relevant to post-traumatic stress disorder.
At the Icahn School of Medicine, Abha studies the brain, vagus nerve, and body mechanisms of fear, stress, and energy metabolism to understand how the brain and body interact with each other in regulating these functions. Her research focuses on developing novel therapeutic avenues for post-traumatic stress disorder. Abha was born in Nepal and moved to the United States to pursue her higher studies after high school. Outside of the lab, she teaches the practice of yoga for stress regulation.
Witnessing and experiencing herself as a creative being in play and connection gives Mirabelle immense joy and contentment. Yogā and Āyurveda have been powerful portals to this.
Mirabelle works with individuals and organizations offering powerful programs on neuroscience and breathing, resilience, and lifestyle changes to increase energy, efficiency, and impact. She is also a certified HeartMath® trainer empowering people to use biometrics and evidence-based breathwork practices to shift their physiology from stress to ease. Her keynotes and training programs have made yoga accessible and delicious for government organizations, accounting, law and high-end real estate firms, and not-for-profits.
Working with individuals and C-Suite leaders, Mirabelle nurtures them to embody Yogic and Āyurvedic algorithms so they can unlock clarity, vitality, and contentment as the fullest expression of themselves.

I used to wake up every morning with some fears/anxiousnesses stemming from past conditioning that would spring up and my day would start with worry and anxiety.
After these practices I've been noticing how there is a feeling of super lightness of being of sorts, that too for the entire day. Worries are passing through and not staying for long or making their home in my head and heart.
I also tried the iWitness map for a couple of traumas (rating 5-7) and I was able to see the beliefs I'm stuck with and how they turn into repetitive patterns. There has been a shift in understanding, I'm not able to articulate the shift however there has been some release.
Time is moving differently, it feels like I have enough and more time in the day… There is some sense of settling, grounding… And this grounding is of a texture that I've not experienced before.. Especially for such a long stretch of an entire day...

The last meditation was like a warm blanket through the night and also like a warm summer rain within me. I had such a good sleep.

This course is beneficial for anyone aged 12+. It is scientific, simple, and life-changing.
We always recommend revisiting a course a few weeks after you have completed it and had consistent practice. This way you will hear and receive new knowledge and insights from the course.
By spirituality, we mean living in a way that honours that we are more than our body and mind. Practically this means raising our level of connection and awareness of Consciousness.
This course is not religious. It will speak to people who practice religion and those who don't. The course is based on Neuroscience and Consciousness. (You can read a small overview of Consciousness studies here)
