Day 4 : Nina Rao : At Peace with Bhakti from East to West

Nina is of Indian origin and learned bhajans (bhakti songs) from her grandfather when she was 9 in a small village in India. Yet Bhakti really came to her through Krishna Das, a westerner from Long Island. Traversing the journey of Bhakti from east to west between cultural spaces and into the womb of personal experience, Nina’s interview is real, human, from cultural identity to universal humanity, bridging the gap between east and west. A must watch.

Aside from the key explorations in this summit, in this conversation, we will discover

  • What no one says about Bhakti in the East and what they discuss about Bhakti in the west
  • The shades of Bhakti from east to west
  • Bhakti to a guru and all that comes with it
  • Chanting as a vehicle, journey, and destination
  • Bhakti as a practice for a tough, tiring day

.... and much more
