Mirabelle D'Cunha : An Intimate Experience of Prāṇā & Apana

Mirabelle D'Cunha "Sivajyoti" is in an intimate relationship with yoga as a breath-ing experience and has been on the path of living yoga for 19 years, studying with swamis (monks) and teachers from the Sivananda Saraswati lineage and at Mumbai University. Mirabelle has taught at yoga ashrams and studios in India, the USA, Canada, Bahamas, Bermuda, and the Cayman Islands and is a guest teacher on yoga teacher training on pranayama, bhakti yoga, and the deeper nuances of yoga as a living practice. She has been a speaker and panelist and teacher for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Programs.

Aside from the key explorations in this summit, in this conversation, we will explore

  • Enjoying an intimate experience of Prāṇā
  • Apana energy, why it is important and why we need to honour it more
  • Apana cycles as women, as mothers
  • Apana detoxes  across ages and gender so many are  embarrassed about
  • Prāṇāyāma sadhana as a daily practice
  • Beyond cultural appropriation, the deep loss to the practitioner when Pranayama practices are diluted or branded

.... and much more
